Broxbourne Borough Council commissioned consultants to develop an outline business case for the establishment of a local authority housing company to deliver new council housing.

A report was commissioned by Havering’s Joint Commissioning Unit to understand the current needs and pressures across Children and Adults social care services and estimate the future accommodation needs for looked after children, care leavers, and children and adults with disabilities. This case study is part of the LGA's Housing Advisers Programme.

The project has allowed the regeneration of urban brownfield sites. The Council consistently relied on government funding to facilitate development of challenging urban brownfield sites for the last thirty years. This new joint venture model removed the need for government subsidy.

Gloucestershire County Council, District/Borough Councils and NHS partners worked on a joint action plan for healthy homes, supporting older people to live well and independently in their existing homes.

Theme: Housing (in OPE), Health and social care (in OPE), Defence The challenge The North Street Quarter (NSQ) will be a vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhood which will regenerate the area around North Street and the former Phoenix industrial estate in Lewes, East Sussex and will reconnect the area to the heart of the town.

The Housing LIN worked with the ten local authorities in the Greater Lincolnshire partnership to develop an extensive evidence base in relation to the future housing needs and aspirations of older people and a delivery programme was created in response to this evidence.

In 2017/18 the partnership received £30,000 of OPE funding to accelerate the co-location of EMAS into Louth Fire Station. This move has released three sites, generating savings that have kick-started the wider blue lights programme of work across the OPE partnership.

Co-operative and community-led housing is a way for local people to play a leading and lasting role in solving housing problems, creating genuinely affordable homes and strong communities in ways that are difficult to achieve through the mainstream housing market. 

The Greater Manchester High Rise and Building Safety Task Force was set up in 2018. It provides a formal structure for joint working on fire risk in high-rise residential buildings between Greater Manchester’s 10 councils and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS).
