Delivering homes quickly, efficiently and sustainably

We need homes, desperately. All round the country, there simply aren't enough being built. We need more, we need a variety, and they must be truly affordable, including a mixture of private and social homes.

The LGA's Housing the Nation campaign seeks to persuade government of the need to give councils greater freedoms and financial control over house building. Without more powers, local government will not be able to help address the problem.
