International relations

There are many reasons why UK local government has taken such a leading role in international partnerships and twinning links, not least because of their direct relevance to local concerns, service delivery and councils' core values. There is also much to be gained by involving as many members of the community as possible in international partnerships. This can allow links to expand into diverse new areas.
