JOINT CIRCULAR 114 (REVISED) POLICE STAFF COUNCIL HANDBOOK: PART 3 GUIDANCE ON POLICE STAFF MISCONDUCT PROCEDURES

Please find enclosed a revised version of the guidance on police staff misconduct procedures. Following further consideration the following changes have been made:

Section 13, Misconduct Meeting / Hearing

  • Paragraph 13.5: 15 working days has replaced 14 working days on referral to a meeting / hearing. This is in line with Police Officer Regulations;
  • Paragraphs 13.8 and 13.9: in terms of the process for a misconduct meeting / hearing

Section 16, Outcomes Available at Misconduct Hearing

  • This now includes a list of outcomes.
