LGA Executive
The Local Government Association (LGA) Executive plays a coordinating role, providing strategic direction to the association's work through the business planning process. It is advised by the LGA Leadership Board and the boards of the central bodies.
The executive is made up of both voting and non-voting members.
Voting:
- the office holders of the LGA
- the chairs of the programme boards
- one representative of each of the regional groupings and of the Welsh LGA
- the chairs of other central body boards who are not also chairs of a programme board
- additional members to balance political proportionality.
Non-voting members:
- chair of the Resources Panel
- representatives of the County Council's Network, District Councils Network and Special Interest Group (SIG) of Municipal Authorities.
The chair of the LGA chairs meetings of the LGA Executive.
