Consultations - Group Leader's Comment - 27 April 2018

This week I had an excellent visit to Caernarfon in Wales, kindly hosted by Councillor Dyfrig Siencyn and chaired by Councillor Colin Mann.

Topics discussed were the work of the LGA, the work of the Welsh LGA, and the future of rural economies.

There are three consultations where you may like to respond, all closing in May. The Future of Farming; National Planning Policy Framework - making it easier for developers to overcome planning; and how to ensure high standards for Councillors (Committee of Standards in Public Life). You can feed back to our group via [email protected] or respond directly.

You can see previous bulletins on these topics on the Independent Group website here.

I wish you the very best in all that you are doing at this busy time, with or without elections!
