To meet large scale funding reductions we’ll need both joined-up local working and innovation which puts users at the heart of service design and delivery.
How we support innovation and value for money
The LG Group lobbies on your behalf for:
- immediate efficiencies of £4.5 billion by reducing quangos, inspection and ring-fenced grants
- councils to oversee the budgets for more of the services in their area and be accountable directly to parliament for them.
We can help you through:
- peer reviews, challenges, mentoring and support on area joint working, efficiency, productivity and procurement
- the National productivity programme – support to improve council efficiency
- support to develop new area-based models including governance and commissioning.
