Councils and their partners help make places safer by tackling crime and anti-social behaviour through local regulation and by leading emergency planning.
How we support safer and stronger communities
The LG Group lobbies on your behalf for:
- full recognition by government, police and the justice service of the key role councils have in tackling crime and reassuring communities
- a shift away from central government towards local government in dealing with civil emergencies
- financial literacy education particularly for young people.
We can help you through community safety, emergency planning and fire peer support programmes.
