Children and young people
For councils to fulfil their role as champions for children, there is an urgent need to build confidence with the general public, policy makers and professionals themselves.
How we support children and young people
The LG Group lobbies on your behalf for:
- support for councillors and councils with their new responsibilities for commissioning 16-19 education and training
- promotion of the role of lead members and councils in children’s services
- building council capacity and supporting improvement for education, children’s safeguarding and youth offending.
We can help you through safeguarding peer reviews, tailored around safeguarding, commissioning or specific issues.
