This national conference on Commissioning Children’s Services has been organised jointly by the Commissioning Support Programme and Local Government Improvement and Development.
This is a conference led by members for members to help drive improvements for your communities in times of financial constraint. It will offer you the opportunity to share knowledge and experience with peers, and to hear about innovative commissioning approaches from around the country.
There will also be an opportunity to join two facilitated workshops in the course of the day to explore practical approaches that could be used in your area.
Objectives
- To share experiences and innovative practice in commissioning children’s services.
- To explore the implications of the Comprehensive Spending Review (CSR).
- To better understand approaches to joint working with partners in your local area.
- To explore the potential for sustainable efficiency savings through effective commissioning.
