About the event
The Office for Civil Society (OCS) has engaged LG Improvement and Development and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) to deliver a comprehensive training programme for commissioners and finance staff across the public sector.
Level two comprises two major plenary sessions that will set the strategy of the new policy agenda and extend the role of the community, voluntary, charitable and social enterprise sectors.
There will be a series of master classes conducted by recognized experts.
These courses will increase awareness and understanding of:
- the third sector
- help improve engagement
- enable greater access to specialist knowledge that will benefit the delivery of public services.
Level One has been successfully delivered to over 300 delegates across England and Wales.
Objectives
Level two aims to develop your skills and provide a detailed understanding of the technical and practical issues involved in enabling more effective engagement with the community, voluntary, charitable and social enterprise sectors.

This training is aimed at experienced commissioning and finance officers, especially those who participated in phase one of the National Programme for Third Sector Commissioning (NPTSC) and those who have attended level one events.
