The National Children and Adults Conference 2012 will be held at The Devonshire Park Centre in Eastbourne and will open with registration at 8.30 am on Wednesday 24 October and close with lunch on Friday 26 October.
Rt Hon David Laws MP, Education Minister, has been confirmed to open this year's conference. On Wednesday, Edward Timpson MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Education, will address delegates and on Thursday Norman Lamb MP, Health Minister, will take centre stage.
Jeremy Hunt MP, Secretary of State for Health, will also address delegates.

As ministers, councillors, officers, and directors of public health gather this week at the National Children and Adult Services conference, Cllr Mehboob Khan, Chair of the LGA Safer and Stronger Communities Board, highlights the important role of police and crime commissioners in safeguarding children and adults.
The school funding session covered three broad areas on school funding reform, academies central functions and early intervention grant (EIG).
This sub-plenary session brought together experts from children's and adults services to talk about how councils are supporting and challenging each other to improve.
The last session of the day was an interesting policy session on adult safeguarding with Cathie Williams, Andrea Sutcliffe and Dr Adi Cooper. We were asked to debate the issues with our neighbours and write our reflections on a postcard.
The key to improving youth services at a time of financial challenge was to work with local partners in the voluntary and community sectors, to tailor services to the needs of young people and to make the link to the ambitions of young people locally.
