Panels

The Local Government Association (LGA) has two Panels that oversee the effective internal operation of the Association and the organisations within it.

• Resources Panel: responsible for the management of Local Government Association (LGA) resources and for policies on resource management
• Audit and Scrutiny Panel: responsible for monitoring financial reporting, audit, risk, delivery of business plan and use of resources.

There is also the LGA Selector Panel, which fulfils the decision-making role of 'Selector' under the Sustainable Communities Act 2007. It leads review and evaluation of the working of the Sustainable Communities Act 2007 on behalf of the LGA Executive.

Agenda papers are sent by post only to those on the Panel itself. Those who wish to attend meetings of the Panel should inform the contact officer in advance. Contact officer details appear on each Panel index page.
