Neighbourhood Planning (Referendums) Regulations 2012

A Grand Committee of the House of Lords considered the Neighbourhood Planning (Referendums) Regulations 2012 on 23 July 2012. Ahead of the debate, the LGA issued this briefing to members of the House of Lords, highlighting our concerns that mandatory local referendums can be wasteful and unnecessary, particularly in situations of local consensus.
