The Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has announced that 36 out of 47 local rural broadband plans have been signed off. The plans detail exactly how local authorities will roll-out superfast broadband in their areas. Local Partnerships continues to provide support to these projects.
The LGA is continuing to raise concerns with Government about the tight timetable for completing the procurement process. We have offered to work with Government to help resolve any blockages and continue to welcome feedback from councils.
