Many councils are already doing a great deal to drive local economic growth. However, the different nature of economic challenges faced and levels of capacity can affect the ability of councils to lead on creating conditions for growth.
The following local economic growth support ‘offers' are available to councils:
Workshops and support to elected members focusing on leadership roles and working with the private sector.
Local authority officer support
Support to local authority officers focusing on new techniques for promoting growth, financing and resourcing opportunities, and supporting the council's leadership role.
Details of planned events will be listed here as soon as they are confirmed.
