Involving local communities and the voluntary sector in JSNA

Voluntary and Community sector involvement is central to JSNA. To help commissioners & policy leads build better partnerships with the voluntary sector and LINKs via the local JSNA processes, a website and supporting resources have been developed by the Voluntary Organisations Disability Group (VODG), commissioned by the Department of Health.

The site includes good practice case studies, briefing sheets, and access for commissioners to more than 350,000 voluntary sector organisations through the Department of Health Third Sector Strategic Partners programme (which includes Mens Health Forum, FaithAction, National Care Forum, Regional Voices, RADAR, National Centre for Independent Living, Shaping Our Lives National Users Network, National Heart Forum, National Childrens Bureau, NAVCA, Age UK, National Council for Palliative Care, Race Equality Foundation, Womens Health & Equality Consortium, NACRO and Action for Prisoners Families, Royal British Legion & Combat Stress, Princess Royal Trust for Carers, Crossroads Care, Carers UK & Mental Health Providers Forum).
