This section has been provided by Greater Manchester and Birmingham, based on their initial learning. The work is on-going and will evolve through testing and evaluation. In line with the ethos of this resource, they welcome feedback from other areas to help develop it further. If you have any comments or suggestions, why not start a topic on the Community of Practice for community budgets.
Communty budgets CoP – on the CoP website
The overall purpose of the innovative finance work is to develop a joint investment model, supported by the necessary tools and techniques, to enable partners across community budget areas to move towards a position where they can jointly commission and de-commission activity to achieve shared priority outcomes with increased cost-effectiveness.
Areas will of course take different approaches to their community budgets. This section will probably be of most interest to those that have an investment-based focus.
