Contract Management

We are working with the Audit Commission to look at the arrangements a number of different councils (including districts, counties and unitaries) have in place to manage their contracts more effectively and the benefits they have gained as a result. A report and case studies on this work has now been published.

We are currently working on the next steps for this work stream following the launch of the document.

This presentation on savings from contract management in local government was given by Mark Wardman at the Society of Procurement Officers conference on 11 November 2013 in London. The presentation is based on the report ‘Savings from contract management', published by the Local Government Association, which was launched at this conference.
