Following successful completion of the objectives in our first ICT Category Strategy including development of the national LASA framework contract, delivering commercial MOU arrangements and reducing expenditure through the sharing of existing assets, personnel and a collaborative commercial approach, we are now seeking views on our second ICT Category Strategy.

We held two consultation events in May 2016 to engage with councils on the potential headers for the new strategy that will cover three themes:

  • Commercial and Procurement
  • Revenue Generation and Funding
  • Digital and Technical.

Please see this presentation for further information about these themes (PDF).

If you didn't manage to get to the consultation events and if you wish to make any comments on the strategy, or join our mailing list for updates please contact guy.head@local.gov.uk.

We are now consulting on the draft version of the National Technological and Digital Category Procurement Strategy. View the draft report.

Read our ICT Customer Charter, a voluntary commitment by individual local authorities to adopt a set of practices designed to promote collaboration, share information and resources, and strengthen the collective competitive position of local authorities in their dealings with ICT suppliers:
