This online hub highlights good practice in the delivery of sport, physical activity and leisure services by councils and their partners to reduce inequalities and improve physical activity levels in the least active communities.

Evidence shows that four in 10 women are not physically active enough to reap the full health benefits. Data from the Active Lives Survey shows that women are persistently less physically active than men and the gender gap starts from a young age.
