These case studies highlight the varied ways councils are working with trusted partners to help communities access sexual and reproductive health services.

In Derby and Derbyshire, local government, the NHS and voluntary sector organisations have set up a partnership to encourage innovation and new ways of working in sexual health. The approach is helping to tackle some of the problems caused by the fragmentation of the system. 

Laura De Campos Duhdamell from Surrey County Council has been named as the 2023 Local Government Apprentice of the Year.

Meeting over 30 hours between September and December 2022, the Jury heard from commentators on the causes and consequences of climate change and elected to hear more on education and communication, housing and transport.
