Probity in planning for councillors and officers

Planning and probity is something that often concerns councillors. PAS and DCLG have published new guidance documents for councillors and officers, reflecting changes in the Localism Act.

They clarify how councillors can get involved in discussions on plan making and on applications, on behalf of their communities in a fair, impartial and transparent way.

DCLG have produced a guide for councillors on 'openness and transparency on personal interests'.
