Anna Rose appointed new head of the Planning Advisory Service

Anna Rose, Director of Growth, Economy and Culture at Milton Keynes Council, has been appointed as the new Head of the Planning Advisory Service (PAS).

Anna is taking over from Alice Lester, who has taken up a planning role with Brent Council. Anna’s start date with PAS is 21 August 2017.

In 2007 Anna became Head of Planning and Culture at Rugby Borough Council, taking responsibility for economic development, sports and arts as well as planning. In November 2014, Anna moved to Milton Keynes Council and is currently the Director of Growth, Economy and Culture. Anna is the President of the Planning Officers Society, a PAS peer reviewer and board member and an active member of the Town and Country Planning Association.

Commenting on the appointment PAS Chairman, Cllr Stephen Parker said:

“Anna is well respected within the planning community and her wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise will be invaluable in continuing the great work of the Planning Advisory Service.

“I welcome Anna to the PAS team and look forward to working with her to continue to provide high quality help, advice and support to councils up and down the country.”

We have a ‘sector led' improvement approach, where local authorities help each other to continuously improve.
