In Brighton a specialist teenage midwife is funded to work with young mothers. The midwife is able to see her clients more regularly than normal, providing valuable support that benefits this group during their pregnancy.

In 2018, the Mayor of Bristol, Director of Children’s Services at Bristol City Council and Cabinet Member for Women, Children and Families agreed to develop a new approach to ensure that children were at the heart of the city – not just in council decision-making, but across the breadth of Bristol’s partners.

So far over 100 staff, including health visitors, school nurses and early years workers, have been supported.
