The Future of Cities with Ellen De Vibe

Ellen De Vibe is a qualified architect and town planner and a honorary member of The Norwegian Associations of Architects. She was the Chief Town Planner of The City of Oslo for 20 years, during which period the Fjord City, restructuring of large harbour areas, as well as comprehensive area improvement programmes for some less affluent areas of Oslo were implemented. She has been member of and heading the National Commission for Built Quality, has worked with quality improvement in zoning practise and the development of The Planning and Building Law for the ministries for Environment and Interior Affairs, especially related to the aesthetic qualities in our built environment. She is also member of the board of Habitat Norway, a NGO working for better settlement policies in the developing world.
