The annual conference and exhibition is a well-established event attracting an audience of approximately 1,400 high-level attendees including local authority leaders and chief executives and senior representatives from the private, voluntary and community sectors.

The LGA is a politically-led, cross party organisation that works on behalf of councils to ensure local government has a strong, credible voice with national government. We aim to influence and set the political agenda on the issues that matter to councils so they are able to deliver local solutions to national problems.
The LGA is a membership organisation and represents 415 authorities including English and Welsh councils, fire authorities, national parks and parish/town councils.
