The LGA Annual Conference’s Innovation Zone is a vibrant, creative space for councils and other organisations to showcase and discuss how they are using innovation to address local issues.
About the Innovation Zone
The Innovation Zone is a vibrant, creative space and programme within the LGA’s Annual Conference and Exhibition, taking place from 2-4 July 2019 in Bournemouth.
Over three days, selected councils and partner organisations simultaneously demonstrate and discuss in small groups how they are using innovation to tackle local issues.
This year the Innovation Zone will focus around the idea of ‘Taking the plunge’, so we are looking for brave, innovative ideas that have paid off and for organisations that have not been afraid to try new approaches.
We encourage participants to bring their innovations ‘to life’ during our practical and lively sessions. Small groups also create informal, supportive and honest discussions, so delegates and contributors can explore and share what they need to do to take forward innovation in their organisations.
Take the plunge: showcase your project at the LGA's Innovation Zone 2019
Do you use creative ideas to tackle local issues? Have you taken a big risk that has paid off? Has a recent project made a big difference to your residents?
If so, we want to hear from you. Be part of the 2019 Innovation Zone – tell your story, share your lessons and help others multiply your success.
To apply, please provide brief details of your project by filling in our short application form before 27 January 2019:
We are looking forward to receiving your submissions!
