This year’s Annual Conference, due to take place in Harrogate this summer, has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
It comes as all Local Government Association events have been postponed or cancelled up until the end of August this year.
LGA Chairman, Cllr James Jamieson, said:
“It is very disappointing to have to cancel this year’s conference, but the health and safety of all our attendees is our highest priority. Given the escalating seriousness of the COVID-19 outbreak, we believe this is the right decision.
“Colleagues will be contacting all delegates, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and suppliers in due course.
“We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to welcoming you back to LGA events as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding at this unprecedented time.”
Details of our Annual Conference taking place in Liverpool in 2021 will be circulated later in the year.
