Each year the Local Government Association (LGA) Independent Group Executive considers applications from its members for appointments to the LGA governance structures. All Independent Group members are able to apply for appointments. The deadline for submission of applications for appointments is Monday 9 July 2018. We review all of the appointments to LGA governance structures annually, and appoint to working groups throughout the year, so please let us know if you have an interest in any of the areas not listed below.
Regional peers
We are accepting applications for Regional Peers. Regional activity is a vital part of the Group’s work and commitment to its members. Therefore, the LGA Independent Group Executive invites members to express their interest in being one of our Regional Peers. Regional Peers are the primary contact for members looking for member peer advice. They provide advice, mentoring and expertise to others and are often the first people approached for corporate peer support events in their regions.
