Talk Shop is an initiative to promote conversations across divides. Last year, we ran a series of 10 discussions across England in the run up to the EU referendum with partners including the WEA and the Labour Party. We are now planning a programme of events focusing on Brexit and immigration. The objective is to encourage people with differing views to sit down and understand each other's points of view and perhaps to find common ground. We aim to feed the results of the discussions into the inquiry being carried out by the Home Affairs Select Committee.
We want to partner with Labour local authorities that want local discussions about this trickiest of issues. We provide facilitators and briefing papers - you identify the audience (20-50 people) and a venue. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to know more about setting up an event
