Local government has a female-dominated workforce (75 per cent) and an older workforce, with over 66 per cent of our workforce aged between 40-60 (LGA Local Government Workforce Summary Data November 2023). This means a significant portion of our workforce will be affected by symptoms of menopause in the course of their daily duties.
