Webinar 2: Lessons from Essex County Council about introducing video communication in care packages

This webinar featured Claire Shuter, Head of Strategy, Digital and Marketing at Essex Cares Ltd, the Local Trading Authority Company of Essex County Council.
Claire shared the lessons learned from the Local Investment Programme funded project about how video communication can be used in care packages. The webinar explored how they worked with two technology solutions and engaged with care professionals, service users and their families. You heard about some of the challenges faced with replacing traditional models of care in short term reablement services and also the opportunities for providers and commissioners involved in residential and domiciliary care.
This pilot project is funded by NHS Digital and managed through the LGA. The webinar also linked to the wider programme of digital innovation in social care across England.
