The first event took place on Monday 22 November 2021. Over 100 commissioners joined to get an insight from a council who re-configured their approach to home care, academic research into market shaping and relationships, a provider perspective on joint working and an independent consultant’s review into relationships across adult social care.

The next session took place on Tuesday 14 December 2021 and focused on the legal and regulatory framework and requirements for the current challenges around sufficiency of provision, service disruption and market shaping. The purpose of the session is to inform commissioners of their specific legal duties and requirements and about the type of actions, behaviours and decisions that should be taken to ensure compliance and help face and overcome the current challenges being faced. This session is aimed at commissioners but is open to all council colleagues and is expected to be of particular use to social work practitioners.
