As the political party conferences return this autumn, the LGA will once again be delivering a range of events, including debates and receptions on behalf of councils and our partners.
Our councillors will also debate a range of topics including devolution, affordable housing, children’s social care and boosting local economies at events organised by stakeholders, ensuring councils have a strong voice in policy discussions throughout conference.
LGA debates
We will be hosting panel debates at the Labour and Conservative party conferences, sponsored by Google. These will provide opportunities for panellists and attendees to participate in general discussion to explore the LGA’s Cost of living campaign, the impact of rising costs on our communities, and how, with the right funding and freedoms, councils can play a leading role in supporting their residents to be more resilient in the future.
