In November and December 2017 PAS held a small number of workshops that explored the implications of the Housing Delivery Test.
While the workshops were designed to tease out how the test would work in practise, there was also some time spent on the new Local Housing Need methodology.
The bulk of the day was spent in discussion, but the supporting documents set out some technical details behind the housing need calculation that may be helpful for practitioners.
Note that these workshops were held while the Housing Delivery Test is in consultation, and that the materials provided were used as training materials that were useful only at that point in time.
We also used a spreadsheet to help work through the new standardised methodology for calculating Local Housing Need. You can find the latest version of the spreadsheet in the knowledge hub.
