In January 2016 we held an event on viability.
Our viability events aimed to:
- Increase delegates' knowledge of viability and its relevance in planning, and what viability evidence is required to fulfil their planning role.
- Improve the procurement outcome for authorities.
- Make those attending more confident discussing, and negotiating upon, viability related to development and planning.
Dates:
13-14 January, Reading
.
Pre-course reading
We recommend delegates read the references to viability for both plan making and decision making in the NPPF. There was also reference to the non-statutory guidance on 'Viability Testing Local Plans' produced by the Local Housing and Delivery Group - chaired by Sir John Harman and the RICS viability guidance, for site specific schemes.
