Upcoming Events

Our events bring people together to allow them the time and space to think through new problems. We run our events both online and in-person, and make use of tools such as MS Teams, Zoom and Slido to ensure the best experience. We try to keep things interactive whether they are online or in person sessions so bring your questions and your creativity!

Booking tickets via Eventbrite

A few people are getting frustrated when booking tickets for events very late (sometimes even after they have started). This means that shortly before the event a human from the PAS team will send you your link. This will be coming from an @local.gov.uk email address.

Shortly before the event starts our team will usually will be mucking in with the event and will not see any late orders. So - please book tickets at least a day in advance if you want to be sure of a place.

National Planning Policy Framework consultation


We are pleased to hold a series of events to help our audience understand and respond to the NPPF consultation. As always, our events are tailored to a local authority audience and will allow plenty of time for Q&A and reflection.

Roadshow events - real events for real people

Our roadshows start at 10.00am and finish at 16.00. We will cover all the main parts of the NPPF. Presentations will be shared so this is ideal for your council to send someone along who can then share what they saw and heard with the rest of your team. We'll even provide lunch.  
If you are unable to get a day out of the office (and you should - come and meet your peers!) we will be recording a version for you to watch. 


Councillor session

We will be holding a version of the roadshow specifically for councillors. This will be an online event and will be recorded if you can't make the date

Policy workshop events
 
We're also putting on some workshops for policy specialists. Each policy workshop will explore what we know (and sometimes what we don't yet know) about an area of policy and implementation. They are less directly relevant to the NPPF consultation and more about helping you understand how these changes are going to be organised and sequenced. There will be pre-reading and possibly homework afterwards. All run from 10.00 - 13.00 on Microsoft Teams. 

Remember - for all our events you will need to book with your .gov email address or we will not know you are a local government person.
