Funding and support against counter-extremism

In September 2016 the Home Office launched the next part of its work to strengthen the partnership between government and groups across the country who stand up to extremism in their communities.

Groups with a track record of promoting community cohesion and tackling extremism are encouraged to bid for support as part of the first wave of the Building a Stronger Britain Together programme.

The application process is now open for both in-kind support and grant funding and there's full guidance available at the link below.

The process is open to any registered UK charity, Charitable Incorporated Organisations, companies limited by guarantee, not for profit registered Community Interest Companies, constituted community and voluntary sector organisations. Although councils cannot apply the Home Office is hoping they will identify and support organisations who can. (all applicant organisations must have a registered bank account and a minimum of three unrelated committee members). The Home Office is very keen to work with a wide range of groups so please do pass this email onto anyone who could be interested.
