Harnessing the Power of Faith: Government Partnerships for Families 

An inspiring session with ChurchWorks - an independent commission representing 16 major Christian denominations, dedicated to helping churches work hand-in-hand with government to support society’s most vulnerable. Since 2022, ChurchWorks has recognised the unique value of faith groups as key partners in the delivery of Family Hubs. Earlier this year, they launched the Family Hubs Toolkit - a practical, inspiring guide designed to equip churches and local authorities to collaborate effectively and offer life-changing support for families. Collaborating with Faith-Based Services Supporting Children and Families 

The Faith-Based Mapping Project (Gather Movement): Piloted in Oldham, mapping 384 services supporting children and families and aligned with Annex F Family Hub service guidelines. Now extended across 28 local authorities.- Ongoing Engagement with the Faith Sector: Coordinating delivery through a Faith Leaders Steering Team and hosting celebration events that build relationships and visibility. Greater Manchester Live Well 

Greater Manchester’s Live Well approach is a place‑based, partnership model that brings together public services, the VCFSE sector and communities to provide joined‑up, preventative support at neighbourhood level. It focuses on reducing inequalities and shifting from crisis response to early intervention, with a strong emphasis on community‑led solutions and trusted local organisations.

Family Hubs and VCSE Partnerships – Manchester Case Study (Making Manchester Fairer) 

This case study demonstrates how Manchester has embedded voluntary, community and faith organisations within its family hub model through co‑location, small grants funding and culturally specific programmes, enabling more effective engagement with diverse communities and improving access for families experiencing inequality.
