Welcome to Next Generation…

Welcome to the Independent Group Next Generation programme. You are the sixth cohort of Independent Group members to take part in this new, critical, and flagship element of the support provided by the Independent Group at the Local Government Association (LGA).

So you are our pathfinders and your participation and feedback will support us in taking the programme forward.

The programme has been designed with a huge amount of time and attention to the content. It will give you access to expert speakers and all the key issues. The course will test and extend your knowledge, skills and aptitude as you become the local government champions of the future. Be prepared for a challenge, hard work and new opportunities. This is a very different type of programme, where you will leave bolder, more ambitious and well prepared for the road ahead.

The three weekends in Warwick are just the start. When you have completed the programme we hope you will stay in touch with us and each other, gathering strength over the years to come.
