LGA Liberal Democrat Group Elections 2017

Nominations opened for the 2017 LGA Liberal Democrat Group Elections on 9 May 2017. All current Liberal Democrat Councillors on LGA member authorities who were in post on 30th April 2017 will have been sent information on who is eligible to stand via email, but if for any reason you missed this information from the Electoral Reform Society, along with the supporting information, can all be found on this page.


Electoral Reform Services is, on behalf of the LGA Liberal Democrat Group, conducting the LGA Liberal Democrat Group Elections 2017.

The first stage of the election process is to seek nominations from individuals who would be interested to stand as candidates. Please find a Nomination Form below for you to complete and return to us if you wish to stand for election. Also the Election Guide containing further information about the elections.

All completed nomination forms must be received by Electoral Reform Services no later than 5pm on Tuesday 23rd May 2017.



We would also like to draw your attention to point 11 in the election regulations which reads:

“In addition there will be a limited statement for each candidate sent directly to each elector by the group office of no more than 200 words”

Candidates will be contacted directly by the LGA Liberal Democrat Group Office regarding the timetable for this statement after nominations close on May 23rd.
