Cllr Izzi Seccombe, the Local Government Association's Community Wellbeing spokeswoman, welcomes the launch of an inquiry by the CLG Committee into the financial sustainability of local authority social care.
DH Consultation on Death Certification Reforms: The LGA has responded to the DH consultation which introduces a new duty on upper-tier councils to appoint medical examiners to oversee a new process of death certification. The deadline for consultation responses is 15 June.
