This joint LGA and Centre for Public Scrutiny report summarises key lessons and messages from scrutiny inquiry days held in three areas to assess the current role of scrutiny in the development of local plans for integration and how this can be improved in the future.
The Community Wellbeing Board has responsibility for the LGA's activity in the areas of the wellbeing of adults, including health and social care.
This Task and Finish Group, chaired by Cllr Izzi Seccombe, is overseeing a focused piece of work, addressing how local councils can take a pro-active approach to demographic change, going forward.
The LGA, ADASS and DH are working in partnership to support local areas in implementation of the care and support reforms in the context of the other changes and challenges for local health and care systems, including the Better Care Fund.
