Making the case for greater engagement of public health in supporting integration.

This report presents the findings of a round of public polling conducted in February and March 2022. It was completed by Yonder Data Solutions for the Local Government Association's Independent Group, which represents councillors in England and Wales who are independent, Green or from smaller parties.

This handbook provides an overview of council environmental health, trading standards and licensing services which collectively fall under the broad theme of public protection services, and are part of a spectrum of place-focused protective services.

Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs), introduced in 2014, sit amongst a broad range of powers and tools to help tackle anti-social behaviour locally. PSPOs are aimed at ensuring public spaces can be enjoyed free from anti-social behaviour.

The Statutory Notices Survey 2023 was conducted by the Local Government Association’s Research and Information team between 10 January and 5 February 2023.

The LGA has commissioned Partnering Regeneration Development and Newbridge Advisors to produce this good practice guide. It aims to support councils to plan and establish more effective public-private partnerships, which can deliver the investment, development and services that are essential to boosting economic growth and recovery.

At the heart of this research was a recognition that the way we talk about homelessness prevention needs to change, recognising the vital importance of upstream cross-service prevention work in local homelessness systems, and the role of councils, their partners and central government policy in delivering this work.
