Following announcements by Central Government at the end of 2023 on proposed future changes in the planning process PAS & the LGA Independent Group delivered an updated for Independent & Green Party Councillors. February 2024.
Working with the LGA political group offices PAS delivered a series of dedicated group sessions for each political groups' councillors to give an update on the planning process in 2024. The Independent Group session was held in February 2024.
This hour online sessions went through the most recent changes to the planning system, how local authorities will have to respond in 2024 in plan making, application decision making and planning for the environment, as well as introducing the work that LGA councillor peers undertake in planning.
