Children's centres allow families to access the help they need to handle those early challenges, help to tackle inequalities, and give children a healthy start.
Whether they’re provided from children’s centre buildings, co-located with other services in the community, or provided by outreach workers, they allow families to access the help they need to handle those early challenges, help to tackle inequalities, and give children a healthy start.
It would be disingenuous to pretend services had not been affected by budget cuts and increasing demand; however as you will see through these case studies in this publication, councils are still finding ways to make a huge impact on people’s lives even in difficult circumstances.
