Working with the independant consultancy Quod, we have been seeking to assess the impacts of the introduction of Use Class E on town centres and high streets across the country as well as understand how local planning authorities are responding.
Information on the wider study was reported at our event in February 2023 to disseminate learning. In considering the findings of the study, Quod has identified some useful key messages for Local Planning Authorities (LPAs) s to consider and take forward in their practice.
These are based on the evidence found through the study and are shared here as useful good practice or experience to assist LPAs in setting their own policy and practice on Class E and town centres.
