Some local authorities are feeling a bit powerless when it comes to determining schemes viewed as unacceptable for sound planning reasons, if they haven't got a five-year land supply. 
 
We've published some recent appeal decisions which show that good planning is still good planning; and schemes which are unacceptable against national policy can be refused and supported on appeal.
