The Planning Advisory Service (PAS) is part of the Local Government Association. We provide high quality help, advice, support and training on planning and service delivery to councils. We help local government officers and councillors stay effective and up to date. We have a ‘sector led' improvement approach, where local authorities help each other to continuously improve.
One of the ways we help councils is by running a national project to improve the way local council planning departments work. Part of this project involves councils sending an email survey to customers and users of their planning service, to give them the opportunity to tell the council about their experience.
This project is being organised by the Planning Advisory Service. We work with local planning services to carefully review the responses, publish the results and compare performance so that we can all learn from the best. You might have come to this page wanting to check that the email you received was legitimate - it is and has been sent because your council is signed up to improving the way it delivers planning services to both applicants and other stakeholders.
Your individual data is not shared with us (or anyone else) and we only see aggregated and anonymised summaries. Taking part in the survey is entirely voluntary - we'd all benefit from your input if you have the time. If you’d like any more information please email [email protected]
