Conditions

This section provides advice on the effective use of conditions, the condition discharge process and the use of deemed consent provisions

In this section:

Conditions - Deemed Consent Provisions

The Development Management Procedure Order (DMPO) 2015 came into force on 15 April. This briefing note summarises the deemed consent provisions and includes notes that are intended to help LPAs to understand the new provisions and challenge whether their processes are fit to deal with these.

Effective use of conditions

All conditions need to meet the six tests set out in the NPPF to be acceptable. This best practice guidance gives tips on how to meet the six tests and other guidance on the good use of conditions, amending conditions and using informatives
